Introduction to Pottery Course - £250
Welcome to our 'Introduction to Pottery - 8 Weeks Course,' designed for beginners eager to explore the art of pottery. Over eight weeks, participants will learn the fundamentals of the ceramics process in a small class with maximum 4 participants.
This comprehensive program fosters creativity and skill development in a supportive environment, ensuring a fulfilling artistic journey. Materials and tools are provided, firing of your work is also included in this course; no prior experience is necessary.
What will you learn:
- Throwing on the wheel and how to trim and refine your work.
- Use of different equipment, and how to dismantle it and clean it: wheels, slab rollers, extruder
- Making Pinch pots
- Making Slabs of clay to create different objects
- Making coil pots
- Surface decoration
- On the final lesson students will apply the glaze to their work
Please note:
I kindly ask participants to commit to attend all sessions, there is no refund policy for missed classes and you may miss an important step of the ceramic process.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES:
I kindly ask all participants to follow the guidelines below
- Please arrive on time
- Please have your nails trimmed short and long hair tidied back
- Please wear something that you do not mind getting dirty
- Please bring a hand towel and an apron
- Please clean all tools, equipment and surfaces used
- Please follow all the instructions during the lesson, the tutor is not responsible for the outcome of your work
